Do you fancy sculpting to create your own work of art? Gerhard Stelzhammer offers sculpting workshops on the south-west coast of Crete. Anyone who would like to try their hand at carving stone or wood or would like to improve their skills can take part.
The aim of the workshop is for participants to create a sculpture or a wooden sphere with their own hands and tools under the guidance of the artist. The sculptor Gerhard Stelzhammer will cater to the individual needs of the participants. They acquire basic skills in the use of tools and are supported in the development and realisation of an idea.
The one-week sculpture workshops are designed for individuals or a maximum of two people. These guarantees individualised support. You can choose between stone or Cretan wood as the material.
Those who prefer to do a short workshop can make a wooden sphere in a two-day workshop. Each wooden sphere has its very own character.
Sculpting on the coast of Crete and cooling off in the sea in between!
If you want to enjoy the sun, sea and mountains and be creative at the same time, this is the right place for you. The workshops are offered in Paleochora, on the south-west coast of Crete. Paleochora, with its typical Cretan character, attracts many hikers and individual travellers. The town is located on a peninsula and offers many beautiful beaches in the surrounding area.
Participants can work on their sculptures from 9 am to 6 pm. The artist will be present from 9am to 12pm and 3pm to 6pm, as well as by appointment. The duration of the course can also be chosen individually.
Except July and August, the sculpture workshops can be booked all year round according to individual wishes.
